Meropa
Premium performance extreme pressure gear lubricants
The Texaco Meropa range of premium industrial EP gear lubricants provide very high wear protection and exceptional load-carrying capacity as well as protection against shock loads and micro-pitting. Meropa industrial gear lubricants are designed to protect a wide variety of heavy-duty gear systems and bearings.
Meropa lubricants are recommended for the lubrication of a wide range of industrial, mobile and marine equipment.
- All types of enclosed gear drives and speed reducers ranging from fractional kilowatt gear motors to large, high power units on metal rolling mills, cement mills, and mine hoists
- Chain drives, sprockets, low-speed plain and antifriction bearings, slide guides, couplings, screws
- Meropa lubricants also perform well in industrial hypoid gears and are recommended for use in transmission gear case and worm drive axles on automotive, construction and mining equipment
- Marine applications include main propulsion systems, centrifuges, deck machinery such as winches, windlasses, cranes, turning gears, pumps, elevators and rudder carriers and many other applications
- Meropa lubricants are suitable for bath, splash and circulation application
- The lighter viscosity grades are well suited to mist lubrication systems where equipment such as Norgren and Alemite is employed
- Mist lubrication of roller bearings, plain bearings, gears, slides and ways, chain drives and other applications where lubricants requiring good heat stability and anti-wear properties are needed
- Meropa lubricants are non-corrosive to gear and bearing materials such as steel, copper, bronze, babbitt or cadmium-nickel
- Protection against gear wear, micro-pitting and bearing wear, increasing system life
- Reliable thermal and oxidation stability extends oil life, improving uptime and productivity
- Reduced deposit and sludge formation ensure cleaner systems, reducing service downtime
- Effective corrosion prevention increases component reliability, cutting unscheduled maintenance time
- Rapid water separation optimises lubrication performance and rust prevention, reducing costs
- Good foam suppression, even when contaminated with water, ensures trouble-free operation
- Wide range of industrial, marine and mobile applications reduces inventories, saving time and money
